Love shared, love in secret, celebrated, exploded. Unrequited longing and love that's mellowed through the years. Love at long distance, across continents, so close there's no space to breathe, or never quite close enough. Love lost and love found. Love from the inside out and love from the outside in. Love Notes has it all: a collection of poetry as diverse as the experience of falling in love itself. A shared candied apple, a farewell at Paddington Station, a name scribbled in a notebook, a face that leaves us breathless, a single word that changes our life forever. Love Notes is a rich tapestry of verse woven from fragments of life and those moments that make falling in love so irresistible. And so inevitable. Love is unique, love is universal. Love is everywhere.

Obvious Remote Chaos
Life seems unreal and lost to what truth knows. While peering out our window of preference, typically our visions show time passing by with a quick swift force bringing the world's uncontrolled happenings full frontal, and yet most don't realize they are part of this constantly unfolding remarkable show. Participation is chosen, but the greater part of the population stands on the sidelines dreaming or sleeping their show away. Parts of life, people and places eventually go missing, and the feeling of abandonment of life takes over the original idea to participate. With key players now removed, their world gently fades into the shadows, and the window fogs preventing new visions or hopes. Looking back a few years my world was severely misplaced and intentionally out of focus. The fog was so thick that trying to look through the window myself brought constant headaches, and any visions I was lucky enough to receive did nothing but rest poorly in my psyche. Sometimes those unforgettable thoughts can bring about some overpowering means to creativity, so I give you this book.

The Cook s Tarot
It is time to take the heart of the matter to the heat of the kitchen, taking in the Tarot like the scent of warm cookies, just from the oven. Depicted with the wisdom and delight of a home-spun conversation around a kitchen table, this deck presents 78 hand-painted images that revolve around a lively culinary theme. Bright colors and often whimsical humor provide an instant connection and reading experience for anyone who has ever put two slices of bread together. In a narrative style, the accompanying comprehensive guide provides a sophisticated understanding of Tarot Archetypes and philosophy. Card meanings are based on the traditional Rider-Waite-Smith standard, yet project their own original flavor. This deck and guide is a must-have for both the serious Tarot practitioner, as well as for those looking to find spirituality in their everyday lives. Bon Appétit!
The beloved literary iconoclast delivers a fresh twenty-first century primer on tarot that can be used with any deck. While tarot has gone mainstream with a diverse range of tarot decks widely available, there has been no equally mainstream guide to the tarot—one that can be applied to any deck—until now. Infused with beloved iconoclastic author Michelle Tea’s unique insight, inviting pop sensibility, and wicked humor, Modern Tarot is a fascinating journey through the cards that teaches how to use this tradition to connect with our higher selves. Whether you’re a committed seeker or a digital-age skeptic—or perhaps a little of both—Tea’s essential guide opens the power of tarot to you. Modern Tarot doesn’t require you to believe in the supernatural or narrowly focus on the tarot as a divination tool. Tea instead provides incisive descriptions of each of the 78 cards in the tarot system—each illustrated in the charmingly offbeat style of cartoonist Amanda Verwey—and introduces specially designed card-based rituals that can be used with any deck to guide you on a path toward radical growth and self-improvement. Tea reveals how tarot offers moments of deep, transformative connection—an affirming, spiritual experience that is gentle, individual, and aspirational. Grounded in Tea’s twenty-five years of tarot wisdom and her abiding love of the cards, and featuring 78 black and white illustrations throughout, Modern Tarot is the ultimate introduction to the tradition of the tarot for millennial readers.

Pop surrealism, dreams, and always arresting felines come together in a hypnotic collection featuring 70 lowbrow artists The cat is a constantly recurring motif in pop-surrealism, kustom art, and other forms of lowbrow—probably unsurprisingly so, as many artists and graphic designers are used to the creatures wandering over their keyboards as they work. An amazing number of the most recognized artists in the genre have produced some eye-popping work featuring cats, including Marion Peck, Nicoletta Ceccolli, and Mark Ryden. All three are featured here in a collection of more than 150 iconic, stunningly original images artists, each showing a different treatment and aspect of feline personalities. Of appeal to anyone into lowbrow and immensely useful to graphic designers and artists working in that world, this is also an astoundingly original take on the cat art genre, which will draw in a more general cat-loving audience.
